In less than a week I’ll have a 1 year old. When I say life comes at you fast, I mean like REALLY fast. Superman trying to stop an off the rails bullet train fast. A Seattle summer fast. Me eating Jamaican escovitch snapper fast. You get my drift? REALLY fucking fast, okay?!

Anywho, this motherhood thing is going okay. I’ve kept a whole human alive using nothing more than my left breast and I’m kinda amazed at that (more on the woes of breastfeeding a human with one breast later). I’m sure my brain will kick into full on sappy-memory lane-mushy on his birthday but for now, enjoy my little bean aka the Mayor of the Neighborhood watching his constituents, soaking up his vitamin D with his basketball.
