I, like most of the people on your timeline, have purchased some Fenty Beauty products and I am just so thankful for the opportunity to glow all year like the Caribbean Goddess I am. On September 8th Rihanna launched her beauty line and I. WAS. NOT. READY. Even after weeks of preparation and stalking all the sizzle reels floating around social media. I have never been as excited for a makeup line to launch as I am for this one and Rihanna has shown us that she did not come to play. Color range, packaging, price point, pigment payoff, and overall bang for your buck are just a few of the many reasons why this line is and will hopefully be a serious contender in the makeup industry.
Today, I decided to do my everyday look and incorporate a couple of the Fenty Beauty products. I used the KILLAWATT Freestyle Highlighter Duo in Mean Money/Hu$tla Baby and the Gloss Bomb. The pigmentation and finish of these highlighters are absolutely gorgeous. The lip gloss takes me back to high school with the high shine. It’s nostalgic and completely current and in line with today’s trends.
I used Mac Studio Fix Fluid foundation in NC50 with LA Girl Pro Concealer in Fawn under my eyes. I used my Sephora cream blush in Fuschia Flash on my cheeks and then used a tapered brush to sweep Hu$tla Baby across the tops of my cheeks. The pigmentation is amazing. My favorite part is definitely how natural the glow is. Especially after I’ve set my face with a spray. With Rihanna’s new line, I get to be a Golden Caribbean Goddess all year round. Whenever I want. Looking like I’ve been kissed by the sun in the middle of December will be a great motivator to help me through another winter in Seattle.
Once I get my hands on some more items on the line, I’ll do a proper review. But from what I’ve swatched in Sephora, I know I’m going to love the coverage and the color of the foundations. I’m also dying to play with the Shimmer sticks and all their many uses, so stay tuned!
