#Blogtober October 6th: Throwback Thursday
My throwback Thursday post is also a cocktail recipe. While I lived in California, I would visit my friend Amanda and hang out with her and her two boys. One of the last times we all hung out, Amanda and I made these refreshing cocktails out of random ingredients in her fridge and pantry. I remember this day heavily because it was the first time I’ve ever actually paid attention to my boyfriend around toddlers. Amanda’s son Gideon is a beautiful ball of energy and paired with his cousin, they were a vivacious duo on a mission to incite terror and destruction with their high-pitched squeals and bouts of laughter. Then there was Ryan, right in the middle of all the chaos. Tossing bewildered, joy-crazed little humans over his shoulders and grabbing at tiny ankles. They were so happy. All three of them. And watching them as I held sweet baby Maverick filled me with so much joy. This was definitely a #definingmoment.
2 ounces of La Croix Blackberry Cucumber sparkled water
2 Califa Farms Strawberry Basil Agua Fresca
4 ounces Merlot
Fill tumbler with ice and add 1 tablespoon of pomegranate seeds. Add all liquid ingredients together and stir. Top with a squeeze of fresh lime juice and enjoy.
If you can’t find these exact items, go for other drinks that have these same flavors or nix it up and let me know how that goes! I hope that the you make this refreshing cocktail it pairs well with some beautiful memories of your own.
